Previously, I exposed the fraudulent belief among evangelical Christians and some Messianic Jews that former president Donald Trump was worthy of the praise and adulation that is being heaped upon him by a segment of the religious community in America. This is a huge part of the “GOP downfall.”

Intended Audience

Though that message was primarily intended for the overall “church of Jesus Christ” (Yeshua ha-Mashiach), it is certainly useful for those outside of the faith community.

This message, however, is specifically for the evangelical Christian and the Messianic Jew, though it may also be useful for others of various faiths who are tying their faith to the person of Donald Trump.

The Rebuke

I say this straight out as a direct godly rebuke of all of the Christians responsible for the continued existence and elevation of Donald Trump in the Republican party (keep in mind it’s the party I’ve been affiliated with for over 40 years):

I rebuke you in the name of Yeshua ha-Mashiach! You are allowing yourselves to continually be deceived by Satan, and committing sin against G-d by elevating Donald Trump as an idol! There is no way to reconcile support for Donald Trump with the faith in Yeshua that you have been given by His grace and mercy!

Double-Dog Dare

Christians who are putting their faith, trust, and vote, in Donald Trump are abandoning the faith.

If you’re a Christian and you just read that and either laughed or felt insulted that I dare question your “Christian faith”, then I dare you to prove me wrong… and to read this entire (long) post to the very end. I HONESTLY DARE, AND CHALLENGE YOU DO READ THIS ENTIRE POST. If you’re really a Christian, you may very likely find yourself with a different attitude.

Abandoning the Faith

I defend my rebuke of you all as just as valid and godly as those given by Sh’aul (Paul) in various places in the New Testament (B’rit Hadashah), including here:

But I am afraid that just as Eve was deceived by the serpent’s cunning, your minds may somehow be led astray from your sincere and pure devotion to Christ. For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted, you put up with it easily enough.

2 Corinthians 11:3-4 NIV

Seeing the Deception

As has been exposed already, various Christian leaders including Franklin Graham (may G-d forgive him), have showered Trump with praises while deliberately minimizing his many ungodly acts and statements. Some are referring to him as the “king of Israel” and the “second coming of G-d”, while others say he is “more famous than Jesus“, and equating him to Yeshua by trying to draw parallels between Yeshua’s truly unjust treatment at the hands of the religious, legal, and political authorities of the time, and Trump’s legal problems, particularly his impeachment trials.

From his own mouth, Trump said that he is “the chosen one“, and claims from various supporters and some Christian pastors, leaders, and politicians claim that he is “heaven sent”.

BUT Yeshua Himself says:

“At that time, if someone says to you, ‘Look! Here’s the Messiah!’ or, ‘There he is!’ don’t believe him. For there will appear false Messiahs and false prophets performing great miracles—amazing things!—so as to fool even the chosen, if possible. There! I have told you in advance! So if people say to you, ‘Listen! He’s out in the desert!’ don’t go; or, ‘Look! He’s hidden away in a secret room!’ don’t believe it.

Matthew 24:23-26 CJB

If you truly have your eyes firmly on Christ and not men, you should rapidly see the huge problems with those statements from Trump and Christian leaders. You should be just as concerned as I am that a a great number of the Christian community are being led astray.

Trump Isn’t G-d

Why? Here’s one of many reasons: Yeshua is blameless. He is G-d.

Donald Trump is not a god in any way, shape, or form imaginable.

Those evangelical Christians who fall in line with this “Trump is our salvation/America’s salvation” type of thinking are the modern-day subject of Sh’aul’s rebuke to the Galatians:

I am astonished that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ and are turning to a different gospel — not that there is another one, but there are some who trouble you and want to distort the gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel contrary to the one we preached to you, let him be accursed.
As we have said before, so now I say again: If anyone is preaching to you a gospel contrary to the one you received, let him be accursed.
For am I now seeking the approval of man, or of God? Or am I trying to please man? If I were still trying to please man, I would not be a servant of Christ.

Galatians 1:6-10 NIV

Note that Sh’aul was working to please G-d, not men. The evangelical Christian supporters of Donald Trump are working to please man, and as such, have abandoned and made a mockery of the faith of Christ.

And Donald Trump is working to please no one but himself.

So why, Christian reader, are you putting your faith and trust in a false messiah? This is the exact OPPOSITE of what Yeshua wants us to do!

The Reproof (Exposing The Truth)

Test The Spirits

It should go without saying that as Christians / Messianic Jews, we should be very circumspect in guarding our faith, and “test the spirits to see if they are of G-d” (1 John 4:1). We are not to allow every whim of a religious or political leader turn our heads and spin us away from the true faith of Yeshua.

However, you need to recall – that’s exactly what happened many times in the past. We can cite many names, infamous for creating cults out of themselves and their beliefs both religious and sociopolitical.

The Cult Hall of Infamy

You’ll no doubt recognize names such as Jim Jones, Adolf Hitler, Charles Manson, Benito Mussolini, David Koresh, Marshall Applewhite, David Berg, and Shoko Asahara.

All of these, as well as others I haven’t listed here, have in their own times deceived many into “another gospel” of one kind or another. But they all have had one thing in common: they bastardized the name and the word of G-d for their own purposes.

They all used religion and religious themes to deceive otherwise well-meaning Christians to follow their cause, turning their followers away from the true faith by manufacturing one to fit their own individual aims.

The design and behavior patterns of cults are common and consistent.

Patterns of Force

The leader is the sole person to be obeyed, followed, and worshiped. The leader maintains the power and wealth of the group, and the leader’s opulent lifestyle is freely accepted even if the group itself is in relative poverty. He/she separates their followers from traditional society by creating a society of their own, for their own, creating an “us-versus-them” mentality among their followers. The leader controls the thought patterns of the followers to believe anything that the leader says without question, and convince the followers that anything said in criticism of the leader or the group is wrong and “evil”.

Any and all external evidence that contradicts the dogma of the leader in any way, is reviled. It is rapidly cast aside as “false” without any attempt to determine the veracity of any such evidence. Such contradictory evidence is decreed to be “deliberately manufactured” by forces of evil with the intention of casting the leader and thus the group in a negative light, and attempting to “deceive” the group. In recent years, one of the names used for this is pattern is “fake news”.

Patterns of Abuse

The leader often (but not always) uses sex as a group-control factor. They can do this either by setting up the belief that sex with the leader is desirable or a “holy act”, or encouraging open sexual practice solely among the group. This strengthens the hold over the group by the leader, increases intimidation efforts by the leader and the group fear of disobeying the leader. It also serves to redefine the traditional societal standards of monogamy and family to an alternative vision cast by the leader.

On some level, the leader maintains a threat of apocalyptic horrors outside of his/her protection. The leader rewrites the normal rules of morality and ethical behavior to match his/her own desires, whims, and exploits. By doing so, the leader is able to control the group’s thoughts to either ignore the financial, social, political, military, and interpersonal errors, misdeeds, and crimes of the leader, or to support them as necessary “for the cause.”

The Modern-Day Hitler

When comparing these cult patterns to Donald Trump and his MAGA organization, it becomes perfectly clear that MAGA is actually (not figuratively) a true neo-fascist cult. The patterns of behavior and organization are very similar to those used by Adolf Hitler himself.

Trump has, quite literally, become a cult leader and object of worship. He has reshaped the Republican party into his own mold, tossing away decades of Republican standards. Trump repeatedly claims that society, “the country” is “broken” without him as president, and that the only way to salvation for him to rule as president, with the clear message that without him, America is doomed to destruction. He separates his followers by beliefs that have already been proven wrong by the rest of the world (the “stolen election” is just one Trump dogma that’s been proved false).

Trump also uses his “rallies” to reinforce the overall cult message, thereby consistently reinforcing the “us-versus-them” concept to his followers and maintaining all belief among the followers that any and all criticism of him is “evil.” These are not unlike the Nazi “Nuremberg Rallies” in their appearance, sound, and intention.

Looking The Other Way

It’s absolutely proved that his followers also ignore the seriousness and consistency of his many misdeeds and crimes (many of which we discussed here).

His consistent use of the “fake news” terminology to refer to any news story or evidentiary documentation that he personally disagrees with, is paramount to his hold over the minds of the MAGA cult followers.

He deems something “fake news”, and voila! there is no debate or discussion among the MAGA rank-and-file whether that something may be even partially correct. To MAGA, anything that Trump disagrees with is complete “deep state” deliberate fabrication, simply and solely because Donald Trump says so.

Excusing Idol Worship of the False Messiah

By all measures, Donald Trump truly is a false messiah and a dangerous cult leader. As Christians and Messianic Jews, we should be fighting such apostasy, not believing in it.

I’ve heard and read some of the excuses by various evangelical Christians for supporting Trump and allowing him to completely corrupt their faith in Christ. A good number of them fall into line with the “QAnon” conspiracy-theory base, which considers that everyone and anyone except for Donald Trump and his MAGA supporters are part of some “deep state.”

This so-called “deep state” are, according to QAnon belief, intend to corrupt and destroy American society and create some sort of “one-world-order” communist regime in its place. QAnon is a cult in its own right. QAnon beliefs are interwoven with the racist “Christian nationalist” beliefs.

Here’s the Kicker: Trump’s Deception of Christians

We could sum up all of the arguments for supporting Trump that those in the evangelical Christian community give, they can all boil down to two statements:

1) Trump is the only politician who actually cares about religious freedom and the current social issues concerning to Christians, such as abortion, homosexuality/transgenderism, and gay marriage.

2) Trump is the only politician in the entirety of the United States that can change the policies, practices, and attitudes of both the government and the society to purely come in line with the white evangelical Christianity.

Obviously, both of these are completely incorrect.

Christian Nationalists ARE White Supremacists

Notice that I deliberately said “white” evangelical Christianity.

Let’s get one thing straight: there is a huge difference between actual evangelical Christianity, and “white evangelical Christianity.” They are absolutely not the same.

While I do want to explore this apostacy in more detail in a future post, I will say for now that the entire “Christian nationalism” movement in America is a thinly-veiled mask for outright and disgustingly racist, antisemitic, isolationist, and exceptionalist beliefs. These are people who will loudly claim they are Christians, but do and say everything that contradicts the teachings of Yeshua and the entirety of the Bible. They are, in fact, false Christians.

Adherents to the beliefs of Christian nationalism, including Mike Johnson, Marjorie Taylor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Andrew Torba (founder of far-right social media site Gab.com), as well as Trump himself, will be (and should be) thrown into eternal hellfire, unless they repent and change their ways.

That isn’t an empty threat: that’s G-d Himself stating this (Matthew 25:41).

So, Christian reader, do you think you’re a white supremacist? If you don’t, then why are you supporting those who are? Again, this is absolutely contrary to the Word of G-d.

Once Upon A Time

Now, it would be really nice if we all could go back to the days “once upon a time.” Those of us who are older in years and in the faith, can surely recall the days long ago when many people attended church or synagogue every week. The man went to work, and the woman stayed at home (hold on, I know what I’m doing). Children respected their parents. Homosexuality was practically (or actually) criminalized. Pregnancy was either deliberately planned, or respected if accidental. Religious morality was the guiding principle of society. G-d was worshiped or at least respected, if not always followed.

Also, despite the tough rhetoric of politicians of opposing parties, they tended, more often than not, to speak rather respectfully of each other and worked within the system to get things done.

The Naked Now

But now what do we see? Church attendance has been at historic lows. Freedom of religious expression is frowned on or curtailed. Divorce and single-parent homes are at all-time highs. Children openly disrespect their parents. Gays are out of the closet, and despite having more rights now than they ever did, scream that they’re being marginalized. Women use abortion as a means of birth control to avoid having to act responsibly with their bodies (trust me, I know what I’m doing…). Religious morality is considered a joke. G-d is ridiculed, disrespected, doubted, or outright denied.

And, both of our major political parties are socially and politically further apart toward their extremes now, than they’ve been for many decades, perhaps over 100 years.

Right about now, I can hear some evangelical Christian who supports Trump saying, “Yes, Dr Vince, yes! This is exactly what’s wrong with our country, and it’s all the Democrats’ fault! That’s why we need Trump to save America!”

Riiiggght. Time for a reality check.

A Healthy Dose of Reality

So, let me ask you, dear Trump-supporting Christian reader, the following:

Have you ever sinned? Have you ever sworn/used foul language? Did you ever looked at a person of the same or opposite sex and had thoughts of a sexual nature, even in the slightest? Did you have sex before you were married? Have you ever had sexual relations with someone other than your wedded spouse? Did you ever gotten a bit too drunk? Have you ever stolen anything – even something very small or insignificant? Have you ever wished for something that someone else had that you couldn’t get?

And I could go on and on here. It’s been either proved or alleged that Trump is guilty of all of the indiscretions and sins I listed above. All of us are guilty of at least one of them at some time in our lives (don’t deny it).

But “all of us are sinners, who cares if Trump did all of that stuff, too?” is NOT a valid excuse for a Christian to be supporting someone who not only consistently does this (and worse), but also brags about it! We should be aspiring in our faith and lives for better.

The point is this, Trump-supporting Christian reader. If you choose to blind yourself with the false belief that “Trump is doing G-d’s will” and the “horrible Democrats” are ruining this country and persecuting him unfairly, let me expose this truth: THE TRUTH AND LIGHT OF CHRIST IS FAR FROM YOU.

Just the Same as the Democrats

The plain fact is that we are just as guilty as the so-called “horrible Democrats.”

Or, will you honestly stand before G-d and claim that you never did any of these things? Will you claim that Trump was trying to clean up America from the scourge of Democrat rule, and just because he had multiple wives, played around outside marriage, swore a lot, cheated here and there in business relationships, that’s all OK because he’s doing “G-d’s will”?

BUT the Bible says:

Don’t you know that unrighteous people will have no share in the Kingdom of God? Don’t delude yourselves—people who engage in sex before marriage, who worship idols, who engage in sex after marriage with someone other than their spouse, who engage in active or passive homosexuality, who steal, who are greedy, who get drunk, who assail people with contemptuous language, who rob—none of them will share in the Kingdom of God.

How about this:

What shall we say, then? Shall we go on sinning so that grace may increase? By no means!

Romans 6:1-2a

Do you honestly think that G-d is telling us that we can dismiss all of Trump’s sins, crimes, and misdeeds just so that the potential for a more Christian-like American society may flourish under him? Did you not just read the verse above?

A Bad Tree

G-d isn’t saying “it’s OK what a horrible person and false Christian that Trump is, just so long as you all vote for him because he’ll restore Christianity to America.”

Trump already had four years to do that, and with very few exceptions, he failed miserably. Christians didn’t have more rights and more freedom by the time he left office – we had LESS.

The Bible says:

“For no good tree produces bad fruit, nor does a bad tree produce good fruit. Each tree is recognized by its own fruit—figs aren’t picked from thorn bushes, nor grapes from a briar patch. The good person produces good things from the store of good in his heart, while the evil person produces evil things from the store of evil in his heart. For his mouth speaks what overflows from his heart.”

Luke 6:43-45 CJB

It’s clear as day that Donald Trump qualifies – biblically – as a “bad tree”. Only bad fruit can come of him, as we’ve seen during his time in office. Sure, the “good things” were good for a certain group of people (the Christian nationalists – remember them?), but weren’t so great for the majority of the country.

Given that he’s divided the country in 4 years more than Obama ever did in 8, the “good fruit” that another Trump presidency can bring is rotten inside – because it’s coming from a person who, by biblical standards, is rotten inside.

Trump is a divider, not a unifier. He is a disrupter. G-d wants us to stay away from disruptive people who don’t follow his teachings:

In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we command you, brothers and sisters, to keep away from every believer who is idle and disruptive and does not live according to the teaching you received from us.

2 Thessalonians 3:6

We Are Responsible

When we look around at the evils and the horrible state of our now post-Christian society, we cannot delude ourselves into thinking that it’s someone else’s fault.

The plain fact is that we are responsible.

I said in a previous post that while Satan has certainly infiltrated our society and exposed all of his evils upon it, the fact remains that we are equally at fault for not acting when we should and could have, many decades ago.

What Did We Do With The Armor?

Consider this:

Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God.

Ephesians 6:10-17 NIV

We were clearly equipped for this fight, with all of the armor of G-d available to us – not just now, but also many decades ago when the liberalization of our society became much worse.

Why didn’t we fight back then? Why did we lose the battle for the moral standard of our society?

Guess What – We LOST

Make no mistake: we lost the battle. Satan has won control of our society. It is now “politically-correct” and “post-Christian.” Our faith is mocked and ridiculed. Our beliefs are mildly tolerated at best, and criminally persecuted at worst. Satan came to the battle, and we forgot our armor and we failed to fight and we LOST.

But we can’t win the fresh battles by using unworkable tactics. We’re not going to win the battle by employing the tactics of “Christian Nationalism.” The tactics of such people are not Christian in any way.

You Can’t Win With The Wrong Tactics

But that’s exactly what many of you want to do. You want to win the battle for the soul of America by using the wrong tactics:

• You want to ban all abortion without consideration for the legitimate reasons why one may be required.
• Your desire is to cut off all healthcare for gays and transgenders without consideration that these people are just as human as you are.
• It’s your brand of religious liberty you want to force on others, while limiting the religious liberty of those who don’t share your specific faith.
• If you choose to show mercy and compassion for the afflicted, the poor, the hungry, the naked, and the stranger, but eagerly refuse to show mercy and compassion to those who come from world regions or life paths that you find problematic or distasteful.

And you want to do all of this by worshiping an idol who tells you that he wants to “fight your battles.” He wants to continue to do this as he’s done before, by ignoring and circumventing every principle of Christian dogma, by forcing laws and executive orders when laws aren’t possible, all so that his way wins – even if it’s not the Christian way.

More Reality – Get the Sunblock

Here’s another dose of reality for you… get ready for the SONburn:

THE HORSE IS ALREADY OUT OF THE BARN.

Because our predecessors in the faith failed to stop Satan in his tracks from ruining our society and causing all of the evils that we as Christians / Messianic Jews see around us, it’s too late to put those horses back in the barn.

It’s too late for the church to use the old “fire and brimstone” preaching with the “hammer of Trump” in your hands, because all you’ll be doing is playing the world’s largest game of “Whack-A-Mole.”

We have to stop thinking we can force society back into a mold that frankly, we allowed it to escape from.

We need a different approach.

Latter Days?

We know from Scripture that in the “latter days”, people will depart from the faith, lawlessness will increase, people will be drawn away by false prophets and teachers, we will see a large increase in sinful behaviors, and people will maintain a form of religion but not maintain its substance or power.

Moreover, understand this: in the acharit-hayamim {end of days} will come trying times. People will be self-loving, money-loving, proud, arrogant, insulting, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, uncontrolled, brutal, hateful of good, traitorous, headstrong, swollen with conceit, loving pleasure rather than God, as they retain the outer form of religion but deny its power.
Stay away from these people!

2 Timothy 3:1-5 CJB

And:

The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons. Such teachings come through hypocritical liars, whose consciences have been seared as with a hot iron.

1 Timothy 4:1-2 NIV

I’ve already proven that Trump is a hypocritical liar who has no clear sense of conscience.

Also:

Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4 NIV

Don’t forget:

And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold.

Matthew 24: 11-12 ESV

You Can’t Stop the End of the World

Do we honestly think that by legislating supposedly godly behavior on our society, we can somehow prevent all of this from happening? Do we think that by making sure Trump becomes president again, we can magically return America to a moral, godly country that is the envy of the peoples of the world?

The end-times are coming, and despite what we believe, whom we support or vote for, this is not something we can prevent from happening. The end of days is determined by G-d Himself to happen… and we can see evidence of it now.

So, how can we change society into the godly model that we should desire for all?

It’s too late for the extremist rhetoric of Donald Trump and his supporters to do any good at all. We’ve seen this approach already during his time in office, and it doesn’t work.

If we allow him to re-enter public office, the already failed approach of executive-order-based regulations, restrictions, and frankly hateful rhetoric will further weaken our standing as people of true Christian faith.

His continuation of rules that favor only some people at the exclusion of others, will continue – as before – to make those who enact and enforce such things, as well as those who support them, look like hypocritical, egotistical, hateful, psychotic pricks.

The Exhortation

As with every other “hot button” issue that Dr Chaim and I have talked about in many posts on this blog, the answer lies in exposing truth in love and concern (reproof), and letting people see the error of their ways, and exhorting the church to repentance and reconciliation with Yeshua.

Let’s face it: attempting to legislate certain behavior isn’t always the best way to make people behave. Just look at the gay marriage and abortion issues we’ve covered in the past. Conservatives had come out (pardon the pun) firmly against both issues.

From a religiously-conservative standpoint, opposition to these issues would be religiously appropriate, since G-d’s Word has clearly indicated His opposition to both issues.

But, as some are famous of using, what would Jesus (Yeshua) do?

What Would Jesus Do?

Would Yeshua approve of the neo-conservative approach of attempting to legislate gay marriage out of existence when it was being debated years ago?

Will He demand that the MAGA crowd of Federal and state legislators impose massive restrictions on all forms and reasons for abortion just because it’s wrong to kill?

Would He deny healthcare and healing to the gay, lesbian, or transgender person because they practice a lifestyle that is abhorrent to Him?

OR…

Would He show understanding of our human condition and our faults, and reach to us with forgiveness and desire for repentance and change on our part?

Remember, the horse is out of the barn already. We can’t force our standard of behavior and belief on an entire culture. We may have been able to do that in the past, but that time is long gone and will never return.

As Christians, we have to change the way we approach the change we want to see.

We have to change lives, one life at a time.

There are multiple examples that would fit here. Among them are found in John 4 and John 8.

“Woman At the Well”

In John 4:4-30, Yeshua offered forgiveness and sought repentance from a Samaritan woman who was living a sinful life. The woman had 5 husbands, and was living with a man to whom she wasn’t married, which was against Jewish law (let alone the Samaritan offshoot of the Jewish religion). During the conversation – remarkable in itself since per tradition, Jews refused to associate with Samaritans – Yeshua revealed Himself to her as Mashiach (Messiah). She saw and believed, and ran to tell her village, who all came out to see and hear the word from Yeshua Himself. They all ultimately believed on Him.

“He Who Is Without Sin”

In John 8:2-11, we see one of a number of times that the P’rushim (Pharisees) tried to trip up Yeshua about the law (Torah) by bringing to him a woman caught in adultery. While the letter of the law dictated stoning the woman to death (interestingly not the man), Yeshua looked at the spirit of the law and challenged those present to cast the first stone at her, if they had were sinless themselves. Once all had left, He asked the woman if anyone condemned her to death, and after she told him “no one, LORD.” Yeshua stated, “neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more.”

Tone-Deafness

Right about now, I can hear some MAGA adherent claiming that Yeshua would be a firm supporter of Trump, and would want all abortion stopped, all gays jailed, and all immigrants – whether legal or illegal – deported permanently.

Likewise, I can hear some progressive-leftist claiming that G-d doesn’t exist and even if He did, the Bible is just a bunch of stories written by men to keep people in line and such stories don’t have any relation to our modern, post-Christian, PC, multicultural world.

Talk about tone-deaf. Yes, both extremes are ridiculously tone-deaf.

They’re all preaching in their own little echo chambers, beliefs being reinforced by others who completely agree with their views. All this does is make it easy to dehumanize and condemn anyone who disagrees with the echo chamber’s beliefs.

The Steps to Repentance and Rejection of Trump’s Apostacy

As Christians, we can’t be the echo chamber. We are in the world but not “of the world.” We’re called to be ambassadors for Christ. We have been given the truth. Let’s embrace it, instead of rejecting it.

• As Christians, we need to turn away from the false belief that ANY political figure is the “only salvation” for our country or for our rights as believers. We must put our faith in Christ, not in political leaders and agendas that don’t follow the biblical model.
• We need to turn away from putting anyone on a godlike pedestal other than our Lord and Savior Yeshua ha-Mashiach.
• As we have been taught, we must reject those who would attempt to turn us away from the truth of Yeshua and a discipleship walk with him, by their own deception just so they can get our support and vote.
• We have to embrace the reality that our world is changing for the worse, that we cannot change it en masse. Instead, we must bring people to faith in Yeshua and a changed life, behavior, and lifestyle, one person at a time.
• All of us need to actively demonstrate the love of Christ by showing mercy and compassion to those in need even if they are different from us or strangers in our land, and reject the concept of “closing borders” without any good method to honor the biblical mandate to show mercy and compassion.
• We need to actively show a godly life to those whom we can reach one-to-one, even if they live a life or lifestyle that we know our faith does not condone.
• Not only do we have to treat every life as precious in G-d’s sight, but we must understand that there will be occasions when a life must be sacrificed for another, and that this is sometimes G-d will.
• Also, we have to encourage a godly sense of personal responsibility for our actions and the concept that our bodies are not completely ours to “do with as we please”, but are temples of the Holy Spirit (Ruach ha-Kodesh) and we aren’t actually “our own” (1 Corinthians 6:19-20).
• We must openly and forcefully reject the concept of “Christian nationalism” as completely heretical to the truth and the mandates found in scripture. We must work to expel the concept and those who support it from our churches, houses of worship, and faith groups. By exposing their sin, we can lead such people who claim to be Christians but defy the Word of G-d, into a repentance and return to the discipleship of Christ.

Turn the Tide

I exhort all as people of faith, to turn from the wickedness of supporting wickedness, the idol worship of a man rather than the true worship of the living G-d.

Seek not to place evil over us, but overcome evil with the righteousness of the living G-d.

Remember and heed the word of G-d:

If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

2 Chronicles 7:14 NIV

Who does this pertain to? Who is “called by my name”? The one who professes saving faith in Yeshua is “called” by the name. It is not others, but we who must humble ourselves, seek His face, and turn from our wicked ways. Then G-d – not Donald Trump – will forgive our sin and heal our land.

As For Trump…

For the sake of our nation and our faith, let us avoid the curse that G-d has called upon Donald Trump by refusing to support his lies, sins, and refusal to bow down before G-d and change his ways:

2 This is what the Sovereign LORD says:
“‘In the pride of your heart you say, “I am a god; I sit on the throne of a god in the heart of the seas.”
But you are a mere mortal and not a god, though you think you are as wise as a god.
3 Are you wiser than Daniel? Is no secret hidden from you?
4 By your wisdom and understanding you have gained wealth for yourself and amassed gold and silver in your treasuries.
5 By your great skill in trading you have increased your wealth, and because of your wealth your heart has grown proud.
6 “‘Therefore this is what the Sovereign LORD says:
“‘Because you think you are wise, as wise as a god,
7 I am going to bring foreigners against you, the most ruthless of nations;
they will draw their swords against your beauty and wisdom and pierce your shining splendor.
8 They will bring you down to the pit, and you will die a violent death in the heart of the seas.
9 Will you then say, “I am a god,” in the presence of those who kill you? You will be but a mortal, not a god, in the hands of those who slay you.
10 You will die the death of the uncircumcised at the hands of foreigners.

A Final Question… or Three

As we’ve seen, the world didn’t end with four years of a Trump presidency. So, even if he would return to office (a big “if” given all of the Federal charges on which he’s been indicted), it’s reasonable to expect that the world wouldn’t suddenly blow up.

But here’s one final question (actually three):

1. Do you, reader, consider yourself a disciple and true follower of Jesus Christ?

2. If your answer to that is “yes”, then can you honestly state in your heart of hearts, knowing all that we know, that Yeshua ha-Mashiach (Jesus Christ) Himself would absolutely 100% support Donald Trump? Would Yeshua likewise be perfectly OK with you supporting Trump?

3. Is your belief and faith in Donald Trump 100% compatible with your Christian faith as Jesus Himself requires of you as one of his disciples?

Hopefully right now, many of you may be heeding the words of Kefa (Peter) and Sh’aul (Paul):

Kefa answered them, “Turn from sin, return to God, and each of you be i`mmersed on the authority of Yeshua the Messiah into forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Ruach HaKodesh!”

“Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill. In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.”

Acts 17:29-30 NIV

Heed the Word of G-d. Open your eyes. Turn from your sin of false belief in Donald Trump as your salvation and cause a furtherance of a GOP downfall. Turn back to the true savior, so we can change our country by first changing ourselves. When we do this, seeking no one’s face, no other approval but that of Christ, then G-d may truly change our hearts and heal our land – the right way.
