Fighting Back Against The Orwellian Nightmare

Recently, news leaked out that the Trump Department of “Justice” has been contributing to an Orwellian nightmare.

A 2024 study in which criminal justice researchers reviewing National Institute of Justice data showing that the highest proportion of ideologically motivated deaths were committed by far-right extremists, was removed from DOJ.gov recently.

News website The Hill (a highly-reputable center-balanced news site) reported on September 17, 2025, about the removal that was discovered earlier that week. Soon after, other specialized-audience sites re-posted this information.

The Real Numbers

The study noted that “The number of far-right attacks continues to outpace all other types of terrorism and domestic violent extremism.”

It went on to specify real numbers:

“Since 1990, far-right extremists have committed far more ideologically motivated homicides than far-left or radical Islamist extremists, including 227 events that took more than 520 lives.”

“In this same period, far-left extremists committed 42 ideologically motivated attacks that took 78 lives.”

Ministry Of Truth

This is in direct opposition to what Trump and the far-right has been claiming. This claim, along with a similar false claim that “Christians were being hunted”, gained traction with the far-right after the murder of far-right extremist Charlie Kirk.

The obvious point of the removal of this study from the DOJ’s website is that the Trump administration knows the results can’t be refuted, so they simply tried to destroy the evidence.

Trump’s administration is following the Orwellian model of the Ministry of Truth, by attempting to scrub from existence any facts or historical evidence that contradict what the regime says and demands that the population believe. It’s an Orwellian nightmare that Trump is inflicting on Americans, to push a fascist agenda that they are right and everyone who even remotely disagrees with them is wrong and needs “corrected.”

The Internet Never Forgets

Fortunately, the Internet never forgets.

The Wayback Machine on Archive.org still has the original PDF of the study, which The Hill and other entities retained and have made available.

Well, far be it from us to pass this opportunity by.

So, in the interest of transparency and destroying the lies of the far-right who are falsely attempting to claim that the far-left are responsible for more violence, when the DOJ’s own data prove the the exact opposite is true, we’re also making the text available here.

Enjoy (?), and feel free to distribute the truth far and wide.

The Study

Below is the entire text of the original study in its published PDF form, as it appeared on the DOJ.gov website until it was taken down in September 2025.
